Belle Mer is a 161,000
square foot, sixteen-story, 61-unit luxury condominium complex
with a post-tensioned
concrete frame structure. There are four units per floor—with
two luxury penthouse units on the top floor.
The swimming pool has a marble clad pool deck. The building
features covered parking and a Porte Cochere—and every
unit has a private deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Project
challenges included coordination of working with 61 different
owners, since each unit is privately owned.
Bill Harbert International Construction, Inc. (BHIC) was the
contractor of record for the project. In January 2000 all employees
of BHIC became employees of B.L. Harbert International (BLHI).
The management and supervisory teams now employed by BLHI constructed
the project.
