The M1 MMF is a 31,000 square foot,
pre-engineered structure supported on a 12-inch monolithic
slab. Surrounding the building is approximately 100,000 square
feet of 12-inch concrete paving. The facility has 24 vehicle
open-bays that will repair and maintain M1 tanks and other
assorted vehicles.
The one-story facility has overhead cranes in the open bay
areas. The facility also has administrative and support offices.
Bill Harbert International Construction, Inc. (BHIC) was the
contractor of record for the project. In January 2000 all employees
of BHIC became employees of B.L. Harbert International (BLHI).
The management and supervisory teams now employed by BLHI constructed
