The Prototype Integration Facility
is a one-of-a-kind applied research and development facility
for the U.S. Army Missile Command. The 60,000 square foot facility
combines laboratories, manufacturing and offices into a single
state-of-the-art facility. The Vehicle Integration Area has
two ten-ton overhead cranes for material movement and roll-up
doors for tractor-trailer access.
The single-story building utilizes low maintenance, energy
efficient metal and precast concrete wall panels and a standing
seam metal roof.
Heat is provided by a high-pressure steam system. A pressure
reducing station is provided within the facility. The Vehicle
Integration High Bay area is heated and ventilated. Special
exhaust systems are provided in the paint booth and welding
