The storage facilities project included
constructing storage and related support facilities at two
separate locations.
The first site included controlled humidity warehouses and
other storage facilities, a communications center, a dining
hall, a workshop building, latrines, various sunshades, expansion
of a power plant, and related support facilities and utilities.
The second site included ammunition storage igloos, upload
stalls, an ammunition inspection facility, guard towers, various
sunshades structures, utilities, and related support facilities
(access roads, fencing, lighting, etc.).
Construction included pre-engineered metal buildings, cast-in-place
reinforced concrete structures, and reinforced concrete frame
(beam
and post) with CMU block infill.
Bill Harbert International Construction, Inc. (BHIC) was
the contractor
of record for the project. In January 2000 all employees
of BHIC became employees of B.L. Harbert International (BLHI).
The management and supervisory teams now employed by BLHI constructed
the project.
