The
Missile and Space Intelligence Center originated in 1956
as the Army Ballistic
Missile Agency
and evolved into the Defense Intelligence Agency’s
primary provider of intelligence on foreign military systems.
The new
complex has a new name - Richard C. Shelby Center for Missile
Intelligence.
The Complex has five major buildings totaling over 200,000
square feet. The final budget of $29.5 million fell well
within the owner’s program budget of $31 million. Over
1.5 million dollars worth of owner-requested upgrades were
