B.L. Harbert International upgraded
the Riverbend WWTP to a capacity of 20 MGD. Work included building
a new influent screw-pump structure with four each 114-inch
diameter screws, and upgrading the existing three influent
screw pumps from 72-inch to 96-inch screws.
The project included construction of a control/blower building,
four aeration basins, a new fine screens building, a new WAS
Pump Station and three new Parshall Flume structures—as
well as replacement of two 90-foot diameter clarifiers.
B.L. Harbert International also upgraded the existing RAS Pump
Station, performed extensive line work, and made a variety
of other improvements to the existing facilities. Approximately
18,000 CYDS of concrete were poured and placed on the project.
