The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) has awarded a contract to BL Harbert International, LLC to provide design-build services for the new U.S. Consulate General Compound in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico.
Located on a 5.6-acre site on the Paseo Colon, the construction award will include a Consulate, a U.S. Marine Security Guard Residence, a support annex, and facilities for the Consulate Community.

The design architect is Moore Ruble Yudell of Santa Monica, California. Page of Washington, D.C. will be the architect of record. Construction is scheduled to commence in early 2015 and will be completed at the end of 2017.
