The dismantling of an existing 92.5MW electric power generating plant located in Gormania, WV. All collected components were labeled and tracked then shipped to Franklin County, GA to be used in a re-fabricated, bio-mass plant.
A huge logistical challenge because of the remote location of the project site, this team has had to overcome staffing and resource shortages along with working against the clock to get this plant disassembled before cold weather sets in. Tracking systems were generated specific to this project to ensure the proper cataloging of the components for future re-use. Nearly 99% of the scope of this project is performed by BLHI direct-hire labor. The jobsite required 24/7 security at the gate to prevent equipment and materials from being stolen.
